ILAs are a great way to make courses just a little more affordable. You can find out more about ILAs and who is eligible here.ILA stands for Independent Learning Account.

This is a government scheme to make learning more accessible for everyone.  If you earn less then £22k a year or are on benefits you will be eligible for the grant.

As a grant you do not need to pay this money back it is an investment by the Scottish Government in your future.This fund would be ideal to put towards a Teaching Assistant qualification or a GCSE or A Level. Read more about Start Learning's thoughts on funding on our blog.
