Rapists and violent sex offenders often go un-reported and thus, un-punished for long periods of time, allowing them to blend into society with relative ease. The effects of rape and sexual violence are indescribable for the victims and leave them feeling traumatised both physically and emotionally. It is extremely important that they receive all the help possible to try to deal with it as best they can.
The course is a good choice for those who wish to further develop their existing skills in the counselling and caring professions. It covers counselling and listening skills, the Sexual Offences Act 2003, Witness Care Services and many more important topics. It will provide you with the basic skills needed to work with those who have undergone terrible ordeals.
