Distance Support

At Start Learning we pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive tutors. Your tutor support will start as soon as you receive your course and will be valid for 12 months. All our tutors are highly qualified with extensive experience in supporting distance learning students.

You contact your tutor via email and they are responsible for marking assignments answering your questions and guiding you through the course.

Entry Requirements

Recommended hours of study

Unit 6 - Personal, social and emotional development - Forming relationships - Sense of community - Exploring cultures and religions - Equal Opportunities - Recognising and dealing with emotions - Growing independence - Facing up to fears - Self confidence and self esteem.

Unit 7 - Physical development, intellectual development and creative development - Fresh air and exercise - Indoor physical play - Outdoor physical play - Knowledge and understanding of the world - Science and Technology - Cooking - Feeding the imagination - Painting, drawing, printing, collage and model making - Music - Role play.

Unit 8 - Prompting safe play - Child rights andprotection - Health and Safety - Dangers online - Television - Guns and toy weapons - Bullying.

Qualification

Level 2 in Teaching and Entertaining Pre-School Children. At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Level 2 Award certificate of achievement from NCFE. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland"
