We recommended you spend approximately180 hours of your time studying for the Advanced Construction course. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 3 hours aweek to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 6 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

Unit 2 - Science and Materials in Construction and the Built Environment (60 hours): Science and Materials in Construction - Factors that affect human comfort – Forces - Strength of materials - Young’s Modulus - Stresses - Graphical representation of forces - Materials performance criteria - Properties of construction materials - Thermal Transmittance.
Unit 3 - Construction Technology and Design in Construction and Civil Engineering (60 hours): Construction Technology and Design - Financial and Regulatory factors - Building regulations - Construction Design and Management Regulations - RIBA Plan of Work - Design Communication - Technical and architectural terminology - Design to production.

BTEC level 3 Advanced Certificate in Construction
Edexcel registration fees are not included in the cost of the course and you send your registration fee in within 28 days of enrolling on the course, currently £80.00.
